The Need For VET
The need for Vocational Education in Australia
Vocational Education is essential in so many ways. It provides businesses with employees who have the right skills and gives our students the opportunity to build their confidence to get the job they want, go for that next promotion or change careers. It’s an integral part of meaningful, daily life for millions of Australians.
There are challenging issues facing our society and workforce – from youth underemployment and skill shortages to an ageing population – that in turn impact the workforce’s need for vocational education.
But wherever there are challenges, we see opportunities. Where there is youth underemployment, we offer a range of qualifications suited to the current skill shortage where opportunity for employment is high. With the uncapping of university places (where universities can enrol unlimited numbers of students in almost all undergraduate courses) and students opting for a university pathway, we’re tightening our focus on workplace training and getting individuals skilled in entry-level positions.
Our ageing population means there is enormous potential for delivering exceptional training for the aged care sector and for the younger generation to fill the unemployment gaps our retiring baby boomers will leave.
Kirana Education is flexible, adaptable and passionate about creating better lives and livelihoods through our exceptional scope of qualifications.
